Cumulative Effects





The diagram at the top names some of the potential factors which can influence discomfort, pain or injury (DPI) to the back in particular or which can contribute to pain in any area of the body to some extent.

Each factor has a letter next to it which is then depicted in the Critical Threshold diagram.  Each bar represents a certain level of these factors which when added together can take you over this imaginary red line, the Critcal Threshold, and may make you more susceptible to DPI.
