Why Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapists are ideally situated to prevent injury.

This can take the form of classes, workshops, equipment consultation, workstation assessment, pre-employment screening or work hardening programmes,

When you come to Willis Street Physiotherapy we:
  • give you cost-effective, efficient management of discomfort, pain and injury (DPI)
  • reduce your recovery time
  • in complex cases, identify problems early and refer when necessary.
If you have a DPI that’s not clearing after a few days, you should definitely seek physiotherapy. Early management of injuries like sprains and strains can avoid lengthy recovery times.

If you have a sudden acute strain/sprain which has an easily identifiable cause – usually involving an unexpected force – then you should follow the RICEM (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation, Movement) regime, immediately after and for up to 3 days following the injury.

Not sure if you need physiotherapy? Discuss it with your GP or email us directly.
