Lauren graduated from the University of Southampton (UK) with a first class honours in Physiotherapy. She then progressed through her Junior rotations to become a Senior Physiotherapist within the Oxford University Hospitals. Whilst working there she gained broad based experience including providing evidence-based musculoskeletal rehabilitation within:
- Musculoskeletal Outpatients.
- Acute Major Trauma.
- Trauma Rehabilitation.
- Adult and Paediatric Orthopaedics.
Lauren is also an experienced Pilates Instructor with qualifications to teach both adults and children, she enjoys teaching matwork and studio equipment Pilates and promoting good health and wellbeing. She also enjoys translating these skills across to her Physiotherapy practice creating long-term solutions through a holistic approach and by educating and empowering clients to understand their bodies and take control of their rehabilitation.
In her spare time Lauren has competed in both Gymnastics and Roller Derby so has a strong appreciation for rehabilitating sports related injuries. Since living in New Zealand Lauren has enjoyed working in private practice using a wide range of treatment techniques to aid fast recovery including manual therapy, soft tissue techniques, and exercise therapy aiming to tackle the cause as well as the symptoms.
